The ISBC Fellows distinction was created to recognize individuals who have demonstrated outstanding scientific excellence in the fields of bioluminescence and/or chemiluminescence. Excellence in research is the primary requirement for selection as an ISBC Fellow.

Nominations should include:

  • A nomination letter describing the nominee’s distinguished research contributions in bioluminescence and/or chemiluminescence, as well as any relevant leadership, mentorship, service, or broader impact
  • The nominee’s current CV
  • A brief statement from the nominee confirming willingness to be considered and describing their contributions to the field, interest in ISBC, and potential future engagement with the Society

The ISBC Committee, composed of the President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, and Past President and/or Advisor to the Committee, will review the nominations and select new Fellows. Selection will be based first on demonstrated excellence in research, with additional consideration given to broader impact, leadership, mentorship, and engagement or potential engagement with the ISBC community.
